Revealed! The most responsive letting agents in London

Renting app Movebubble has revealed what it says are the most responsive letting agents on its platform.

Movebubble, founded by Aidan Rushby, a former branch manager for letting agents Ocean, allows pre-qualified renters to search available homes for rent in London and book viewings via an app.

Tenants can also leave reviews of their agent and now Movebubble has made public the average response times of each agency so landlords and renters can compare each firm.

A league table on the Movebubble website ranks Movebubble’s top 200 agents by how long they take to respond to tenant queries, how often they respond and the rating given to them by renters out of five.

The top agent at the moment is east London-based Franklyn James, with offices in Limehouse and Wapping, which typically responds within one hour, has a 100% response rate and a renter rating of five stars.

The longest response time in the table is one week from firms such as Hamptons International in Ealing and Chestertons in Westminster.

  1. Cheese.

“Revealed!” is perhaps a little strong.

There are one or two in the top twenty that I know, and the reason the response time is so high is because i see them twiddling their thumbs waiting for the phone to ring.

    Pointless exercise.

Most pointless service I have ever seen.

agencies are not willing to pay £120/month for someone to pick up the calls- especially as they take al their ads from Rightmove so don’t really bring any new traffic.

At the same time, the ‘app for renters’ customers are (wait for it..) the agencies.

They called me and said they have 7-10% “market share of viewings”. I said that if they find someone who believes that, they should sell them other things too..

poor investors poured £4-5m on an app that has no need.
