Mystery four agents not (yet) outed on Twitter after refusing to settle bills

After yesterday’s EYE story about the unknown agent featured on Twitter after broadcaster Jeremy Vine heard her discussing prices, names, and addresses, here is a new social media mystery.

Just who are the four agents, also not named, who are alleged on social media to have booked places on training courses, on Integra Property Services,  but who neither paid nor turned up?

Mike Day tweeted: “Sad that 4 Central London based agency businesses refusing to settle outstanding invoices for training course places booked in their name and by their staff. One guy very abusive on phone today. Remember I know who you are!”

Intrigued, EYE suggested he might like to spill a few more beans.

Day, of Integra, told us he is not quite ready to name and shame, “tempting as it is”.

One, however is a global name, he tells us.

He said: “All booked places on a course back in January and therefore knew the terms and conditions of booking (on my website and on the invoice sent). A total of six places were booked between them.

“These are low ticket items but I have sold out eight programmes so far – 400 delegates – and by booking and not showing/paying, they preclude me from selling the places to other people.

“What annoys me, apart from ignoring payment requests, with several reminders prior to event – they then don’t see why they can’t just not show and not pay and two have got incredibly ‘shirty’ when I’m on their case . One firm cancelled two weeks before event but my terms make clear that, at that notice, payment is required.

“In 15 years of Integra, I have only ever had five bad debts  – four from this round of courses!”

Maybe it’s just me, but two weeks’ cancellation doesn’t seem unreasonable; maybe if it was 48/24 hours before the event I could understand, but in two weeks one assumes that replacement delegates could be sourced?

     Either way, highly frustrating!
