Sales progression platform claims 20% fewer fall-throughs after estate agency pilot

Sales progression platform View My Chain says that a trial with Leaders Group has shown reduced completion times and 20% fewer fall-throughs.

The business, founded in 2015 by tech entrepreneurs Sohail Rashid and Ian Lancaster, has now signed long-term deals with both Leaders and with Fisher German.

It says it also has a pipeline of other firms who are potential customers.

For the past two years, View My Chain has been tested by a number of estate agents.

Kevin Shaw, managing director of the Leaders Group, said: “An initial trial of View My Chain improved completion times by up to three weeks in some cases, and on that basis we have agreed to roll this out to additional regions this year.

“We believe that View My Chain will enable our branches to improve the service they deliver to customers by reducing completion times and de-risking the chance of a fall-through whilst empowering our negotiators and specialist sales progression teams to offer customers a unique benefit over our competitors.”

Rashid said: “Some agents still spend hours on the phone towards the end of a transaction chasing the rest of the chain and searching for the update to give their client.

“However, users of our data platform utilise our chain alerts and prompts throughout the process.

“As proven by our customers, this enables them to more efficiently and effectively reduce completion times and de-risk the sale from falling through.

“The net benefit to the branch is a healthier cashflow, happier customers and an improved marketing proposition to new customers.”

He said that after widespread criticism of the communicational capabilities and professionalism of online agents, he hopes to “solve many of the problems caused by unresponsive” online agencies.

However, Rashid told EYE that there are equally criticisms of unresponsive high street firms, and that fall-throughs have been a growing problem over the last 12 months.

Is it just a coincidence that as the market share to call centre agents is supposedly growing, so are the % of fall throughs?

How about employing agents who understand the whole process rather than delegating your sales to a 3rd party and reducing your net fees further! If you know how to process, it will help your cashflow and business naturally. Lazy agents!

Be very wary of the hype around this product and who they claim are using it.

They most likely will want your signature on a form so they can claim you are using it, to add to the hype.

By not having sales negotiators trained and involved in the ‘after-sales’ process they are seriously disadvantaged. They need to know the conveyancing process and what they can or cannot assume/promise when negotiating a sale.

It’s my view that negotiators/managers should find time everyday to progress their sales, or have an office-based sales progressor.

It sounds great what View My Chain are offering – it’s a shame agents do not realise that this should be part of the service they offer. It’s what differentiates us from some of the online listers.
