Rightmove is launching a new multi-million pound campaign on Christmas Day, and is now giving agents a sneak preview of the new TV ad.
The ad will debut on Channel 4 on the Great British Bake Off Christmas Special.
The new advertising is described as the next stage of Rightmove’s Find Your Happy campaign, and is designed to inspire people to make a fresh start in a home that works for them as life moves on. Subsequent launches will follow throughout 2018.
The ad will begin airing in what is likely to be a busy period for traffic to Rightmove. Last year, there were 26% more visits to the site in January to March compared with the preceding three months.
In the ad we meet Graham, who we follow as he walks up the stairs in his home time and again. From delivering his wife a romantic breakfast in bed to packing up the Christmas decorations, we get a glimpse of the stories within his family home, until the moment he realises it’s time for them to make a fresh start.
We then see a growing family begin their own journey in the home, while Graham finds his happy in a bungalow.
Get ready to grab a hanky and blitz all those potential down-sizers.
And the spectacular Christmas/New Year Advert relaunching OnTheMarket is?
Their Ad opens with an empty champagne bottle lying in a gutter you say? with Old Arthur Springett slumped in a doorway muttering about the New Rightmove Ad
Come on Arthur Springett, lets see how busy you’ve been polishing the OTM T*rd. With all that money gathered in whilst you’ve been marketing nothing plus that big dollop of IPO cream, surely you’ve come up with a dazzling relaunch?
Reluctantly, Rightmove? it’s a good advert. Buckle up for the next increase because OTM won’t save the day
What’s that you say? Arthur Springett/OTM have just signed up Santa’s Reindeer on a 5 Year Contract? Oh….. Santa’s 3 legged Reindeer?
Whatever happened to OTM? I’m still paying subscriptions for nothing in return. Mind you, I get a lovely single A4 sheet of paper with 2 paragraphs written on it every so often from Old Arthur Springett, and if I print it out it costs me more money
It’s another Rightmove New Year, at least they are doing something whilst taking my money!

Interesting ad. Not life-like. With arthritis stairs are a nightmare, also, at such an age, one can happily fake hearing difficulty. The chances i’d have heard a call from the 1st floor is zero. A swift about turn and back to the comfort offered elswhere in the house; a dead cert.
