allAgents into final hours of crowdfunding bid to raise £50,000 in battle with Purplebricks

Reviews site allAgents has until tomorrow lunchtime to reach its target of £50,000 to fund any legal costs run up in its battle with Purplebricks – and it looks as though it may just do it.

If it does, it could be by a whisker.

By yesterday afternoon 137 supporters had chipped in £40,315 – 81% of target.

allAgents needs £50,000 by 12.30pm tomorrow (Tuesday).

Purplebricks alleges that in an audit of 95 reviews on allAgents, 29% appear to be fake and 23% cannot be authenticated.

In response to legal letters from Purplebricks, allAgents has removed both the reviews and Purplebricks’ profile page.

allAgents would use the £50,000 raised as a legal contingency.

It would reinstate the Purplebricks account, including hosting the reviews, and would use the money to challenge any litigation.

If the target is not reached, allAgents says the funds will be returned to the donors.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Chuck a few quid in today’s chaps, worth it just for the future news stories 😉

I and Mr Bryce of Wales responded in firm fashion with no crowd funding at all. However, if people would like to chip in to my new underpants crowdfunding project, it would be gratefully appreciated.

“We are raising legal fund to prevent Purplebricks from suppressing customers reviews on UK’s largest review site for estate & letting agents”

If legal proceedings come about and  AllAgents can’t demonstrate that all reviews are from customers then supporters would have a valid claim to get their money back wouldn’t they?

I’m looking forward to see what happens here.

I haven’t seen anything as nail biting as this since the last few minutes of the 2012 Man City v QPR game

    AllAgents/Henry Mulholland

    My 2 Florins worth.

As much as I have no absolutely no time for Purplebricks, I think if Henry sets himself up in business and looks to reap whatever rewards he can he also needs to shoulder the arrows that come his way. It appears from his last Accounts lodged in 2016 that he had circa £133,000 cash in hand at his bank, so dig deep Henry and defend yourself.

The circa £40,000 offered under crowdfunding so far would be greatly appreciated by many poor souls on JustGiving and similar, on many occasions those who need money to have a chance of their life continuing.

As I say, I have zero interest in anything that helps Purplebricks as they are “bottom feeders” however, Henry & AllAgents need to stand on their own as they are not down to their last 2 Florins yet.

When you play in the big playground you need to be prepared to defend yourself.

We have had a couple of fake bad reviews of my firm on All Agents – I contacted All Agents with clear details as to why 2 reviews were fake and asked for them to be removed.  Nothing, no contact from them at all.

If a reveiw is genuine fine – we work hard to resolve or hold our hands up if we screwed up but equally when a review is clearly wrong and fake its not cricket.

So as another poster has said – All agents defend yourselves out of your own money.
