Countrywide has launched a new housing and property management apprenticeship scheme, in partnership with national charity and social business Catch22.
The qualification will help develop career paths within property management, with a particular focus on developing staff already within the Countrywide business.
Through the programme, students will learn tenant and landlord law, property lettings and management and customer service, eventually leading to a new Level 3 Housing and Property Management qualification.
The programme culminates in a real-life project, with students developing and implementing a brief that will benefit Countrywide itself.
Throughout the 18-month scheme, participants will receive one-to-one coaching.
Countrywide has pilot programmes under way in Sheffield and London, with plans to roll out the programme nationally.
Kate Brown, ‘Group People Director’ at Countrywide, said: “We’re proud to be the first residential property management company to offer this kind of apprenticeship.
“We feel it offers people a fantastic opportunity to get a step up in the world of property management, and enables us to ensure that our property managers have the required skills to offer our customers the best service possible.”
I am going to say it first .The first to join up was probably Alison Platt Property is a lot more than just selling peas
despite her interview with the London Standard when she said
“Our customers don’t look at us and compare us with other estate agents, they compare us with other retailers.Wer’e in retailing the same as Tescos”
Maybe she has learned somehing over the last few years .I think the recent S P rise indicates she is on her way out of the door

Staff, Students, whatever you wish to call these poor individuals who are convinced by you that they will ‘earn a fortune’ are complete fools! Your so called schemes will not benefit your vendors/purchasers or staff but merely line your pockets. Forward planning for returned business does not enter your heads. Had you have done so your Ship would stay afloat! But there is NO CAPTAIN; your army of staff continue to go AWOL, the water rises, its getting colder and the band still plays!
