Line-up of speakers at EA Masters includes global names as well as home-grown heroes

Estate agent turned MP Kevin Hollinrake is among the exceptional speakers announced for next month’s EA Masters, which is set to be the biggest estate agency event ever held in the UK, and breaking completely new ground.

The founder of Hunters is in the line-up of speakers, which includes international agents and professional presenters as well as UK industry leaders.

Dean O’Brien of O’Brien Real Estate in Melbourne will tell his incredible growth story from start-up to 20 offices in seven years.

O’Brien is a client of global industry trainer Josh Phegan who is also speaking.

He will be highlighting the habits, rituals and behaviours of his “rock star agents”, some of whom earn over $10m a year.

Completing the international line-up is David Faulkner from Real IQ in Auckland. He is regarded as the driving force behind one of New Zealand’s top lettings and property management businesses.

Lessons from other industries will be given by several award-winning speakers.

Richard Mullender negotiated the release of hostages from the Taliban in Afghanistan and he will show how the same principles can apply to sellers, landlords, buyers and tenants.

Tamara Lohan founded boutique hotel directory “Mr & Mrs Smith” and she will share her story of competing with the establishment and building a digital brand.

Julian Treasure’s “TED” talk is one of the Top 10 most popular of all time with over 20m views and it’s an incredible opportunity to see him live at the EA Masters.

His presentation called “How to talk so people want to listen” is an insight into how anyone can significantly improve their ability to influence people.

Darren Shirlaw is the SME business guru who has predicted every market rise and fall over the last 20 years and he will tell the audience where the cycle is right now and what every business needs to be doing to prepare for the next stage.

Matthew Syed, BBC and Times journalist and best selling author of ‘Bounce’ and ‘Black Box Thinking’, will discuss the science of high performance and share his business improvement toolkit.

In addition, Peter Knight from the Property Academy will reveal the insights his team have gleaned from the biggest ever assessment of the industry to create the Best Estate Agent Guide – being launched at the event – and what the exceptional agents do that the others don’t.

There is also a “Leaders and Legends” panel which consists of:  Dale Norton, founder of Romans and now a Trusted Advisor to the Property Academy’s Summit Group; Jon Cooke, founder of Intercounty and Fine & Country and now CEO of easyProperty; Katie Griffin, owner of Sawdye & Harris and President of the NAEA; Kevin Hollinrake, chairman of Hunters and MP for Thirsk, Malton & Filey; Simon Bradbury, director of Thomas Morris and advisory board member for RAN and Fine & Country; Lucy Pendleton, co-founder of multi-award-winning James Pendleton and member of the Property Academy Summit Group; Eric Walker, previously MD of Bushells and now MD of Northwood; and Jane Gardner, founder of Sewell & Gardner, winners of Lettings Agency of the Year, now running JPGardner Estate Agency Marketing.
