Former Rightmove boss Nick McKittrick is joining the board of Homegate AG – the Rightmove of Switzerland.

McKittrick co-founded Rightmove and was with the portal for 16 years, the last four as CEO.

He left the business at the end of June, aged just 48.

Axel Konjack, CEO of Homegate AG, said: “Homegate and Rightmove started almost at the same time.

“As market leaders in the UK and in Switzerland, the two companies are pursuing similar growth strategies.

“To have Nick’s experience as we continue to develop Homegate is an excellent opportunity for us. I look forward to working with him.”
