Agent who died in her sleep celebrates return to life

An estate agent whose heart stopped for 30 minutes has celebrated being brought back from the dead one year on.

Michelle Carroll, 46, was struck down with Sudden Adult Death Syndrome as she slept.

Fortunately, her partner awoke and immediately began CPR.

A local firefighter, who volunteers as a co-responder for the local ambulance service, arrived within minutes to continue the resuscitation.

Against the odds – Sudden Adult Death Syndrome claims the lives of almost all its victims – Michelle’s heart restarted.

Michelle, who works for Pearsons, met her partner, Marco, 12 years ago when she was selling him a house.

Michelle spent two weeks in hospital and had a cardiac defibrillator implanted.
