Agents invited to free My Home Move housing conference

The My Home Move annual housing conference is being held on May 11 at the Belfry hotel and golf resort in Warwickshire.

The theme is ‘intelligent housing’, with the agenda including a look at how technology is disrupting the traditional models for buying and selling houses.

Keynote speakers on the day will include James Knightley (ING), Professor Matt Turner (Warwick University), Miles Shipside (Rightmove) and Professor Peter Williams (Intermediary Mortgage Lenders Association), with host Paula John (Editor-in-Chief, AE3 Media).

Estate agents are welcome to attend the conference, which is free.

With spaces filling up fast, interested parties are asked to email marketingteam@myhomemove.com to reserve their place. The day will begin at 10.30am with a 4.30pm finish.

Separately, a new industry event is to be held this month.

It is being launched by estate agent Matt Giggs, who claims considerable success with his own business – he says he made Giggs & Company the number one agent in St Neots, Cambridgeshire, in five months and has built a £1m a year business within four years, with a 20% market share.

Baroness Karen Brady will be among the line-up of speakers, along with Rightmove manager Daniel Barea and agency coach Sam Ashdown, as well as Giggs himself.

The event is on April 28, at Wyboston Lakes, Bedfordshire, with tickets at £195 plus VAT.
