Record year for Sotheby’s International Realty as it sells nearly 130,000 properties

Sotheby’s International Realty achieved record sales last year.

Worldwide it sold over 127,000 properties, achieving $95bn.

However, the bulk of the sales were achieved in America, with $10bn of sales outside the USA.

The brand also reported growth across its global network, with Sotheby’s International Realty now active in nearly 70 countries and territories worldwide, with a total of 880 offices and over 20,000 sales associates.

CEO Philip White said: “In just 12 years, we have grown from $4.2bn to $95bn in sales volume.

“Our brand has achieved exponential growth, and I am immensely proud of the hard work and dedication from our affiliate member companies, their independent sales associates and our dedicated worldwide staff.

“This is a true testament to the strength and international footprint of this extraordinary brand.”

There is no specific update on how Sotheby’s International Realty is doing in the UK, where the brand is run by CEO and industry veteran Robin Paterson, who formerly led Hamptons International.
