Roll up, roll up – post your Christmas card here!
Spotted yesterday on Rightmove were these two adverts for agen … sorry, we mean properties with festive appeal.
Sussex agent Cooper Adams put up a whimsical cottage complete with Santa, while London agents Johns & Co thought a gingerbread house would go down a treat.
Just in case Rightmove has taken a stern view and the links no longer work, below are the screengrabs.

Love the pictures on the first listing. A real uplift after the disappointment this week of first not being in emoov’s top trumps pack and then being two places below bankers in the trusted professions table.

Does that count as ‘Portal Juggling’?

Portal juggling is the practice of delisting and relisting a property from a portal so that the date of listing is updated to make the property look as though it’s fresh on the market.

And falsify agent and portal volume of listings, to deceive new clients and investors.

That is different and NOT portal juggling. Portal juggling is a method estate agents use to take the same property off the market and then put it back on a few weeks or months later to look like brand new listings.

One of the methods for only ONE of the potential reasons, Herb.

Sorry – pressed ‘Post’ by mistake.
The existence of #portaljuggling has been acknowledged by NTSEAT and TPOmb as an activity that affects the market and those that work with or within it to a degree that it has been confirmed as an illegal practice.
A few #re-listings here and there because the vendor wants to redec, or take a cruise, mean squat in the grand picture. I’ve done it myself in past – but followed the ‘rules’ of the day.
Ask yourself – why would an Agent want the hassle of #relisting DOZENS of properties every week – every DAY, even? What benefit would they get out of having HUNDREDS of “new” listings every month?
Answers, on a postcard, please…

I believe Rightmove have already proved they have an extremely effective a get-out Claus for such matters…
