Picture of the Week: Our first contender is only the lonely

Well, who would have thought it: no fewer than three excellent contenders for Picture of the Week and all by Monday morning.

Here is contender number one.

Those of a nervous disposition or operating their agencies out of monasteries should be warned that Pictures of the Week 2 and 3 get progressively more . . . well, more.

So, to our first contender: Purplebricks landed with a loud publicity thud in Australia on August 29 – but by yesterday evening our time, had just one property listed.

And here it is, looking distinctly Johnny no mates:

That was an immediate disrupter in the Australian real estate market then! Well done PB, although I’m slightly concerned about what is says for the UK consumer, with so many being “duped”!

I wonder how many thousand of miles the OZ PB “local expert” covers? Do they use planes I wonder?

You will need to be an old fart like me to understand the next comment. They best keep away from  Charlie Drake

(He was an old comedian who sang a song about his boomerang not coming back and it hit and felled the flying doctor.!)

From one old f@rt to another – I was with you all the way!

I have little doubt that UNlike the boomerang in the song, a good many of the Aussie PB listings WILL ‘come back’… and back…

Maybe the Australian public are less susceptible to the influence of “reviews” – especially those from 12,000 miles away in a completely different marketplace!
