Until now, Bognor Regis has been chiefly associated with the immortal words of King George V who said something along the lines of “Bother Bognor”.
Now we fear this pleasant seaside resort may become better known for its astonishingly high house prices.
It’s a perfectly pleasant terrace home but a price tag of £99,999,999 does seem like quite a lot. Stranger still, it bears no resemblance to the much smaller price tag of £335,000 mentioned in the actual details.
No doubt it will have been put right by the time you read this, but yesterday this was how it looked: expensive.

The fact Higley is regarded as local explains their loose definition of the word local, the only Higley I can find is in America.
Looking up the price on Zoopla, whacking it on the internet is all they have to do for £798 and they can’t even managed that; Higley (SIC) amusing!

Obviously the £999,999 (deliberate mistake?) wasn’t enough to grab the media attention so whack the price up to grab some coverage?
There has to be something fishier than a Canvey Island necklace about this, how did the vendor or listing rep not notice the stupid asking price in February and how come they repeated the error again but bigger?

An “internal systems audit” will no doubt uncover this and that will again suffice for TPO and ASA who seemingly don’t care that call centre agents regularly flout the very laws / consumer interests that they are supposed to protect (and regularly do with traditional agents).

What’s the old saying? Oh, yeah – “To err is human; to forgive, divine.”
Err (pun intended) – the trouble in this instance being that, actually, your attempt at a smarmy sideswipe falls flat as a flat thing on Flat Day due to the spelling, grammar and syntax errors it contains.
But that’s fine – it’s what we are now growing accustomed to with your posts, and assuming you’re sticking around, something we will have to accept. Smile with teeth gritted and all that.

Proves what I and everyone else knew all along – I am far from ‘superior’. In fact I openly admitted to you and the entire readership last week that, unlike your goodself I am far from considering myself to be ‘on top of my game’ – and furthermore that I actually never expect to reach that unattainable pinnacle of perfection.
You should try being honest with yourself sometime. Not only is it a wonderfully liberating feeling – it also affords you the opportunity to unclench your rear end which can only be beneficial to your general health and wellbeing.
Oh, I make mistakes, all right. But I try, try, and thrice try to make as few and as small mistakes as humanly possible.

Am I the only one to wonder why this one property – out of ALL the thousands of properties this Agent (and pretty much any Agent I’ve ever come across for that matter) have currently ‘listed’ as maybe/possibly available for sale… ask and ye shall find out – has its ACTUAL price displayed as a bullet point and a complete ‘way out there light-years past MakeMake’ figure in its rightful place?
Yeah – maybe it IS just me.

Now this is interesting …… PB had it listed 31st August 2016 and now removed BUT RM are advertising as still sold sstc by a local Bognor agent Whiteheads for £325,000 26th May 2016. “Whiteheads are delighted to offer for sale this immaculately presented staggered terraced family home”. They have a nice summer photo with leaves on the trees while PB looks like it was taken in the winter.
One has to ask the question, this property is a fake listing by PB?

Better still it was sold 21 Apr 2011 for £249,950 and Holmes suggests that the PB’s photos are consistent with a previous marketing during the winter of 2010/11. If so, not only is the listing fictional, it is from another agents data base! Now how would PB gets their hands on that?

Isn’t it time the authorities took TrustPilot to court? a Five Star rating for a company that has a long history such antics is misleading and damaging for those business’s they give a lower rating, arguably a better and more professional service. The idea of ratings was to give confidence to the consumer, not mislead them? Where are you NAEA?
