Catfest is nearly here – the festival run in industry trainer Julian O’Dell’s garden to raise money for cancer charity Macmillan.
Julian’s wife Cat has cancer – hence the name of the festival, taking place on August 28, and which hopes to raise £15,000.
Whether you are planning to go or not, EYE readers have a great opportunity to help swell the Catfest Macmillan pot.
Yes, folks, once again EYE is staging a picture auction.
Talented artist Julian has provided a choice of four original portrait drawings. If yours is the winning bid, you can choose from Elvis, Chris Martin, Paul McCartney or Amy Winehouse.
All are A4 size and in pencil. The frame can be your choice of either black or white.
EYE has kicked things off with a £50 bid. But we know you can do better than that.
Post your bids below or if you prefer to be anonymous, simply email our managing director – who will be conducting the online auction with his usual mixture of wheedling, persuasion and persistence (well, he was an estate agent) – at nick@propertyindustryeye.com
Bidding closes one week today – so you have until midnight Monday August 15.
Our last charity auction at Christmas raised £700 for a picture by Julian of Mick Jagger, with the winning bidder David Cantell, of Cantell & Co, in south-west London. He bid £666 for the old devil, with EYE making up the rest.
Finally, there may be a few tickets left for this month’s Catfest. Tickets are free but everyone on the guest list has to make a donation.
The venue is Rook Tree Farm, Hulcote, Milton Keynes MK17 8BW.
