Ambitious London agent acquires firm as it targets expansion south of Thames

East-end London agent Keatons has acquired Cannon Kallar, which operates from Deptford in the south-east of the capital. It made it clear there will be further acquisitions of agents south of the river.

Keatons opened its first branch in Mile End in 1998, opening a further seven offices across east London and one in north-west London.

Its latest acquisition takes Keatons’ network up to nine offices and 100 personnel with plans to expand the company further via acquisition.

Cannon Kallar will continue to trade as such for the rest of the year headed up by the original owner Jason Cannon who is staying on as office manager.

He will be working alongside Keatons’ managing director Tony George and co-founder Rupert Verdi who will implement the transition.

Keatons’ co-founder Kye Wheatley said: “We are very excited to have acquired a well-respected business in this emerging part of London and plan for this to be the start of our expansion south of the river.

“There are many exciting areas and amazing properties here and the market is very similar to east London where our model and brand has proven to be very well received by the local community.”
