Property technology guru Rob Wellstead and former Countrywide head of estate agency Bob Scarff have joined forces in a new collaboration.
The duo will use their knowledge and experience in the estate agency and letting industries to develop new property technology.
They say these products will drive change in how the industry uses technology, making processes quicker and more efficient for the agents and the end customer.
Wellstead is the owner and founder of five-branch letting agent Lenwell Property Services, which was established in 1990 in Bedfordshire and Northampshire. Scarff has recently been appointed as a non-executive director of Lenwell.
Wellstead has developed a number of proptech solutions, such as Callwell – a customer response and lead management service – which are created and tested in-house at Lenwell before being marketed to the industry. A number of well-known high-street letting agents are using products that Wellstead has developed.
He said: “It is great to partner with Bob on such an exciting journey. I know the letting process inside out, as does Bob for estate agency, and so it makes complete sense that we use our combined property and technology knowledge to develop new innovations for the industry.
“We are already working on a number of projects and will be announcing the launch of a new piece of technology soon, so watch this space.”
Scarff said: “I have always been interested in finding new and more efficient ways of doing things, so I am really pleased to be joining Rob in this prop tech venture. I am also delighted to become a non-executive director of Lenwell.”
