Sales to first-time buyers bounce up, says NAEA

Sales to first-time buyers were up in March, the NAEA has reported.

It also says that the supply of available homes jumped 54% compared with February – rising from 35 properties per branch to 54.

Three in ten member agents said that 28% of their total sales in March were to first-time buyers, and 39% expected the Stamp Duty reforms to increase availability for first-time buyers.

Demand decreased, from 463 applicants per branch in February, to 417.
