The Trustees of Arbon Trust, the charity for NFoPP members, has held its first meeting since being granted charitable status last autumn.
It says that it is looking forward to a very active year ahead, with the aim being to combine two initiatives: firstly to raise the profile within the NFoPP family, and secondly to raise extra financial and hands-on support from them.
Peter Light and John Oakley both attended the recent London conference, distributing leaflets and collecting donations, and both agreed that this was a positive step forward.
Rob Clutton, financial director at NFoPP, has been working to build the website, and chairman Chris Brown has been in touch with the NFoPP board to continue their involvement.
The Trust also has a Facebook page and Twitter account to keep members advised as to progress.
The Trust is there to help members and their families who may fall on hard times or need support in one form or another.
It also acts to encourage and assist members to take up qualifications where financial or other obstacles may prevent them from doing so.
Thankyou PIE for running this piece, really grateful for all the publicity we can get for this great cause.
Recently received a generous (anonymous) donation of £1262 including Gift Aid. Anyone wishing to make a more modest donation can do so via our website at http://www.arbontrust.org
Thankyou
Peter Light
