The current TV advert by hybrid agent Purplebricks is an interesting one.
It shows a happy seller buying a painting which depicts one of the Purplebricks agents atop that mythical beast, a unicorn.
Could the advert – which launched on Boxing Day – possibly mean anything else?
Well, in tech circles, yes. A unicorn business is a start-up that is valued at over £1bn.
Various lists of unicorn companies that have achieved fabulous valuations are available on the internet.
What do you suppose those canny Bruce brothers are trying to tell us?
A mythical beast that can only be tamed by virgins. Make of that what you will.

Nor sure, like most TV viewers I either fast forward the catch-up, or put the kettle on when the ads appear. Interruptive in place of disruptive.

I thought it had a hidden meaning as well, but mine was more on the lines of it is fantasy/myth that Purplepricks have happy vendors or an agent who knows what they are doing!

Are the Bruce brothers laughing all the way to the bank. Seems odd the chap wasnt on a knights horse! Instead a Unicorn which in tech means high fund raising. ………

Would have had more ‘meaning’ if the mythical beast had been a phoenix…
