TDS reveals how it has given out £100,000 in grants

The TDS Charitable Foundation has provided 11 grants totalling just under £100,000 in the last year.

All the recipients have been housing related.

The biggest grants went to the National Union of Students, which received £20,000 for a tenant training programme, and City College Norfolk, which also received £20,000.

The money went to help the college develop a course to encourage school leavers and others to enter the letting agency sector.

Another sizeable grant, of £14,939, went to Designs on Property, founded by Kate Faulkner, to provide funding for a series of research papers.

The Residential Landlords Association was another recipient, of £7,500. The money has helped it adapt a handbook.

Generation Rent received £2,500 to help it produce a handbook for tenants to know their rights and responsibilities.
