Foxtons, so long known for its Minis, could become synonymous with an entirely different kind of vehicle – an air ambulance.
This morning it announced a new three-year charity partnership with London’s Air Ambulance.
The organisation has become Foxtons’ first long-term official partner and was unanimously chosen by employees who will take part in a wide range of fund-raising activities.
The charity is currently running a ‘Your London, Your Helicopter’ campaign to acquire and sustain a much-needed second helicopter.
London’s Air Ambulance provides an advanced trauma team to critically injured patients.
It serves the 10m people living and working within the M25 using a helicopter during daylight hours, replaced by rapid response cars at night.
The charity is the only one of its kind in London to perform immediate life-saving medical procedures normally only found in a hospital emergency department, at the scene of an accident.
Since launching 26 years ago, the service has treated over 33,500 patients.
The acquisition of the second helicopter announced earlier this month marks a significant milestone for the charity helping to extend its daylight flying hours, although it continues to rely heavily on charitable donations to maintain its life-saving service for London. Foxtons sponsorship will contribute towards this.
Nic Budden, CEO of Foxtons, said: “We are delighted to be supporting the vital work that London’s Air Ambulance does and helping the charity to maintain its service and contribute towards long-term sustainability.
“Foxtons is committed to delivering a positive impact to the communities in which we operate and we feel honoured to be partnering with such a remarkable charity and look forward to developing our relationship over the years.”
As well as fund-raising events, Foxtons will be sponsoring the charity and running a marketing campaign to increase public awareness.
