EastEnders estate agent murder plot is supported by Lamplugh charity

An estate agent’s murder plot on EastEnders tomorrow (Good Friday) has received support from the Suzy Lamplugh Trust.

We are not, we hope, spilling the beans – but our source is The Sun and the Press Association.

According to them, in the Lucy Beale murder plot there are similarities between the storyline, which sees the agent Lucy (played by Hetti Bywater) murdered after receiving a mystery email and going out to an appointment at a flat, and Suzy who vanished in 1986 after going out on an appointment in London.

But unlike Suzy, who was never found, in the BBC soap, Lucy’s body will be dumped on Walford Common.

According to The Sun, the Suzy Lamplugh Trust said that the EastEnders storyline would highlight the dangers faced by estate agents.

Charity director Rachel Griffin said that it would encourage employers to “have suitable personal safety strategies in place”.

Although Lucy is due to be killed off tomorrow, the killer will not be revealed until the show’s 30th anniversary in February, according to the Sun.
