Knight Frank has denied reports that its Hungerford office has closed, confirming instead that the branch remains operational following a recent restructuring of its local business.
A statement was issued to EYE after claims circulated yesterday that the office had shut and staff had been made redundant. While confirming that a restructure had taken place, Knight Frank said its Hungerford operation remained “open and operating normally”.
The agency said the changes form part of a wider reorganisation designed to strengthen its coverage across West Berkshire and Wiltshire. However, the firm declined to comment on whether any redundancies had been made as part of the restructuring.
A spokesperson from Knight Frank told EYE: “Knight Frank’s Hungerford business is open and operating normally. We have recently restructured the team as part of a proactive move to strengthen our offering across West Berkshire and Wiltshire. The business is now led by Mark Potter, supported by Camilla Chancellor and Francesca Potter, ensuring we continue to deliver a highly personalised service to our clients across the region.”
Meanwhile, Knight Frank has appointed Tim Robinson as its next UK managing partner, with the current head of commercial set to succeed Stephen Clifton in April 2027.
Robinson has spent more than 30 years with the property consultancy and currently leads its commercial division. In his new role, he will take responsibility for Knight Frank’s UK residential and commercial businesses, overseeing the strategic direction, governance and performance of the firm’s 79-office UK network.
He will also become chair of the UK board while continuing to serve on the group executive board.
Knight Frank is headquartered in London and employs more than 20,000 people across a network of over 600 offices in 50 markets worldwide.
