LSL franchise giant expands with new acquisition

National Home Move has expanded its estate agency network with the acquisition of Your Move Margate through LSL Estate Agency Franchising’s branch resale programme.

The branch was acquired from Patrick McConnell, whose Your Move Charterhouse business operated in the Kent town. The transaction enables existing LSL franchise partners to purchase branches from owners looking to retire or exit the business.

National Home Move is already the largest franchise operator within the LSL network, running 51 Your Move and 13 Reeds Rains branches across the UK. The acquisition further strengthens its presence in Kent, where the Your Move brand operates more than 20 branches.

Your Move has an established and strong presence in Kent, with over 20 branches stretching across the county including Ramsgate, Sittingbourne, Sheerness and Ashford.

Matthew McCreath, MD of National Home Move, said: ““We’re actively seeking our next opportunity, partnering with businesses that align with our ambitions and can help us continue our growth journey. Extending our presence across Kent is a natural step for National Home Move and I would like to wish Patrick well with his next chapter. The team at LSL EAF have been great throughout and I would like to thank them for supporting us through this process”.

Lee Carratt, Franchise Partnerships Director at LSL EAF, commented “This is exactly what our Resale Programme is designed to do – match franchise partners looking to exit, with existing franchise partners looking to expand. It’s a win-win offering a real benefit to our estate agency partners who are planning to retire, for example, and at the same time drives growth for our existing franchisees.”
