Maskells appoints Erik Holmgren

Erik Holmgren

Maskells has appointed Erik Holmgren as a director as the estate agency strengthens its presence across the prime central London market.

Holmgren joins from Beauchamp Estates, where he spent six years, initially leading the lettings division before helping launch the firm’s Marbella office in 2024. Prior to that, he spent a decade at Chestertons, focusing on the Mayfair and St James’s lettings markets.

At Maskells, Holmgren will work across the agency’s core prime central London areas, with a particular focus on expanding its presence in Mayfair.

The appointment forms part of the firm’s ongoing growth plans across the capital’s high-end residential market.

Peter Hermon-Taylor, managing director of lettings at Maskells, said: “His [Maskells] appointment very much aligns with our continued agenda of thoughtful growth, whilst ensuring we continue to attract and retain the very best talent within the prime central London market. Ultimately, maintaining that calibre of people is fundamental to preserving the standards of advice, client care and attention to detail upon which our reputation has been built, whilst also ensuring we continue to achieve the very best outcomes for our clients.

“Erik brings with him not only a huge depth of experience and longstanding relationships, but also the sort of measured, intelligent and client-focused approach which sits perfectly with the culture and direction of the business. As Maskells continues to evolve and grow, attracting individuals of Erik’s calibre is both enormously exciting and an important reflection of the momentum within the firm.”

Holmgren added: “Maskells has a long-standing, outstanding team with an impeccable reputation in the market, and I look forward to contributing to and building on that continued success.

“I am excited to further strengthen the company’s offering through my existing network across Mayfair and the wider prime central London market, while continuing to deliver the highest standards of advice and service to clients.”

Senior compliance hires at OneDome

Joanna Purdy

OneDome has expanded its compliance leadership team with the appointment of Joanna Purdy as group head of compliance and the promotion of Rebecca Curtis to head of compliance for its networks, Mortgage Intelligence and OneDome Growth Partners.

The company said the changes form part of wider efforts to strengthen its compliance structure as the business continues to expand.

Purdy joins with more than 20 years’ experience across financial services, including roles within mortgage networks, lending and advisory businesses. Her background includes both network-level compliance and mortgage broking.

In her new role, she will oversee compliance strategy across the wider group, with responsibility for developing a consistent framework across the business as it grows.

OneDome said the appointments are intended to support the expansion of its networks and specialist services while maintaining oversight across its integrated operating model.

Purdy commented: “Having worked across networks, lenders and as a broker, I understand how important it is to balance strong compliance with practical, common-sense advice delivery.

“My focus will be on building a scalable framework that supports the Group’s growth ambitions, while ensuring compliance feels clear, consistent and aligned with the needs of advisers.”

Curtis added: “We’ve built a strong compliance foundation, and this is about evolving that in a way that reflects how advisers actually work.

“Working alongside Joanna gives us a great opportunity to strengthen how we support firms – keeping compliance straightforward, accessible and aligned with growth.”
