Over 300 agencies begin onboarding AI platform – claim

More than 300 estate agencies are currently onboarding Street’s new AI platform Cortex, a rollout that began shortly after launch.

Cortex is positioned as an AI layer built on top of Street’s existing CRM and marketing system. It is designed for estate agents, letting agents and property managers to configure and deploy AI agents across day-to-day workflows.

The system is intended to handle a range of operational tasks, including enquiry responses, client communications, marketing activity, sales progression and elements of property management. These AI agents operate within existing agency systems and are designed to carry out tasks rather than only provide assistance.

Street says the platform is aimed at reducing the amount of administrative work involved in running an agency, with more processes handled through automated systems. The company says this is intended to allow staff to focus more time on client-facing and transactional activity such as negotiations, relationship management and deal completion.

The co-founder of Street, Tom Staff, said: “We are pleased, but not entirely surprised, about the huge takeup we have already seen for Cortex.

“AI is destined to make an enormous impact on our industry, not least the ways in which agency teams are built and roles executed. Many will look at the implications and shy away, but most understand that, ultimately, this technology is about enabling agents to spend more time doing the things that truly require a human touch and bring, by far, the most value to their clients – building relationships, advising clients, and delivering better outcomes.

“The industry has been inundated with AI tools and add-ons, and the reason Cortex is standing high above the crowd is because it reflects a far more fundamental shift in capability and intent. Rather than working towards incremental improvements of age-old agency practices, Cortex redefines it entirely, enabling agents to deploy AI that can independently execute tasks across their business, removing the need for many of the manual processes that have traditionally defined estate agency operations.
