Rightmove and Propertymark have partnered to introduce new training pathways leading to two recognised property agency qualifications.
The Propertymark Qualifications Level 3 Certificate in Property Agency (****) is now available to all Rightmove members as part of their existing membership. The programme includes separate sales and lettings routes, allowing agents to focus on training relevant to their area of work.
The initiative forms part of Rightmove’s wider investment in education, tools and training aimed at supporting agents as industry requirements and legislation continue to evolve. It is intended to help teams maintain professional knowledge, support client relationships, and prepare for potential regulatory change.
The training has been developed following feedback from agents requesting more tailored qualifications, including dedicated sales-only and lettings-only options within the Rightmove platform.
The qualifications are designed to provide a standardised framework for professional practice and can be used by agents when discussing their services with buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants.
Research from Rightmove’s consumer panel suggests strong expectations around professional standards, with many respondents indicating they would prefer agents with formal qualifications and a significant proportion assuming such requirements already exist.
This new training builds on the earlier Level 3 Certificate for Estate and Letting Agents (CELA), launched in 2022, which has seen more than 10,500 enrolments. The CELA qualification also provides a route into Propertymark membership, including NAEA and ARLA.
Professional qualifications are also referenced within government discussions on property sector reform, with ongoing consultation considering future standards for agents.

Jason Charles, Rightmove’s head of education, said: “Agents are operating in a market where professional standards, regulation and consumer expectations are all moving quickly. Qualifications give teams a practical way to evidence their expertise, build trust with home-movers and stand out in conversations with vendors and landlords.
“By working with Propertymark and making this training available through Rightmove membership, we’re helping agents get ahead of potential regulatory change while adding knowledge and confidence to their teams. We’ve already seen agencies use qualifications as a valuable talking point with home-movers.”
Nathan Emerson, CEO of Propertymark, added: “Ensuring property professionals have access to a range of tailored and specific educational opportunities is a fundamental ambition both Propertymark and Rightmove believe passionately about.
“With consumers stating that working with a qualified property professions as being a key expectation, it will become ever more prudent the sector proactively lays provision to stay ahead of forthcoming transformation.
“Our own insight tells us qualification and professional representation are highly valued by consumers, and we are pleased to work with Rightmove to enhance current standards and promote additional levels of sector excellence.”
