Daniel Matthew Estate Agents has opened a new branch in Port Talbot, marking the third office in its growing network.

The expansion adds to its existing locations in Bridgend and Barry, extending the firm’s coverage across South Wales.

Founded in 2015 by directors Laura and James Northover, the agency has expanded steadily as demand for its sales and lettings services has increased across the region.

The business, which employs 18 staff, listed more than £54m of property during 2025, with the highest volume of completed sales coming from its Bridgend office, where 238 transactions were recorded. Across the group, 281 new properties were brought to market over the year.

The Port Talbot office will be led by Caroline Hatchett, who joins from Payton Jewell Caines.

Hatchett has worked across both sales and lettings in negotiator and valuer roles. The new branch is also expected to create four additional positions, adding to the firm’s local workforce.

Director Laura Northover said: “We’re incredibly proud of how Daniel Matthew Estate Agents has grown over recent years. Expanding from a single office to a three-branch network across Bridgend, Barry, and now Port Talbot reflects both the commitment of our team and the confidence our clients place in us.

“The opening of our Port Talbot branch represents an important step in strengthening our regional presence, and we are pleased to welcome Caroline Hatchett to lead the office as we continue to broaden our service offering across South Wales.

“We were also pleased to receive recognition once again at the British Property Awards this year. While the award is appreciated, our focus remains on the continued development of the business, the progression of our staff, and delivering a consistently high standard of service to our clients.”
