Platform launches to improve collaboration across conveyancing chains

InfoTrack UK has launched Linked Enquiries, a new feature within its Enquiries product that enables law firms to handle pre-contract enquiries through a shared online workspace.

The system allows both sides of a transaction to view and respond to enquiries in one place, replacing email correspondence and attached documents. Counterparty firms do not need to be InfoTrack customers to use the workspace.

The rollout follows continued delays in property transactions, which now average around 19 weeks. The enquiries stage is frequently identified as a bottleneck, with firms reporting problems linked to fragmented communication, manual document processing and limited visibility between parties.

When a firm issues enquiries, it invites the counterparty to join a shared workspace using a reply code included on the enquiry document and accompanying email. Firms that already use InfoTrack can access the workspace through the platform, while those that do not can join via a guest login with access limited to responding to enquiries.

Once connected, both parties can view the same enquiries, responses and attachments in real time, organised by enquiry number. Guest responses appear directly within the workspace, removing the need for copying information between emails and documents. The system also maintains a timestamped record of activity showing who submitted each response and when.

By centralising enquiry management, the platform is intended to reduce reliance on email correspondence, improve visibility of progress between firms and limit manual data handling. It also provides a single record of enquiry communications for compliance and audit purposes, and can be used regardless of whether the counterparty firm is an InfoTrack customer.

Linked Enquiries follows the rollout of InfoTrack’s updated Enquiries solution, which has generated more than 7,000 workspaces since its launch in June 2025. The company said the latest update reflects ongoing feedback from conveyancers about improving coordination during the pre-contract stage.

Scott Bozinis, CEO at InfoTrack UK, said: “Email has always been a great business tool, however, it was never intended to facilitate the enquiries process. It’s used because there was no other option. Today we’re fixing that by launching a purpose-built tool specifically for conveyancers to collaborate on enquiries in real time, giving both sides the visibility and control needed to keep transactions moving.”
