Iain McKenzie

The Guild of Property Professionals will host its Annual Conference and Awards Ceremony, Ignite, on Friday, 6 February at the QEII Centre in Westminster, London. The event brings together Guild Members from across the UK for a day focused on insight, ideas, and practical strategies to help businesses succeed in 2026 and beyond.

The Guild says the Ignite theme reflects the conference’s goal: giving Members actionable advice and expert insight to drive growth in a changing property market.

The conference will open with an address from Iain McKenzie, CEO of The Guild of Property Professionals, who will outline the year ahead and how The Guild supports its members.

Anthony Codling, head of European Housing and Building Materials Research at RBC Capital Markets, will provide a detailed overview of the property market. Using the latest data, he will explain what trends mean for agents and highlight the opportunities and challenges likely to shape the year.

Adam Noonan, group commercial director at The Property Franchise Group, will focus on technology and innovation, offering insights into the current and emerging PropTech landscape and how agents can use these tools to improve efficiency, customer experience, and growth.

Compliance and legislation will be covered in a session on the Renters’ Rights Act, led by Paul Offley, Guild Compliance Officer, and Tanya Pearson, senior account manager at The Guild. They will explain the implications for agents and provide practical guidance on preparing for the changes.

Ben Madden from Digital Sparks will present ‘Ignite Your Influence’, exploring how agents can build distinctive brands and stand out in a competitive market.

Motivational speaker and leadership expert Nigel Risner, known as The Zookeeper, will deliver ‘Igniting Communication and Connection’. Using his zoo metaphor, he will demonstrate how understanding different personality types can improve team communication, collaboration, and performance.

The programme will close with Dr Robbie Anderson, performance psychologist, who works with elite athletes including Formula 1 teams. His session will examine the psychology of high performance and how these principles can be applied in business.

The day will conclude with The Guild Awards Ceremony, celebrating exceptional achievement, service, and professionalism among Guild members.

McKenzie said: “Ignite is about giving our members the spark they need to move forward with confidence. From market insight and legislation to leadership, branding and performance psychology, the conference is designed to leave attendees energised, informed and ready to take action in their businesses.”
