Estate agents losing thousands due to industry ‘blind spot’ – claim

A new payments platform has been launched by Agent Response to help agencies monetise services they already provide.

Launched by Agent Response, the new payments platform allows estate agencies to charge upfront for services they already provide.

The platform enables agencies to accept payments for compliance, marketing, and upgrade services through a branded online portal. This provides a way to recover costs for services such as AML checks, EPCs, and professional marketing.

Early data from agencies using Agent Accept shows increased revenue – in some cases thousands of pounds – from services that were previously offered for free.

“These are not new products,” said Michael Nettleton, co-founder of Agent Accept. “They’re services agents already provide every day, but until now, there’s been no simple, professional way to charge for them consistently.”

Agent Accept began as an internal tool developed after Michael Nettleton’s six-branch agency, Nock Deighton, discovered, for the first time, the true revenue potential of its compliance and marketing services.

“Once we saw the numbers, it was impossible to ignore,” Mike added. “We realised this wasn’t just our problem, it was an industry-wide blind spot.”
