Will Linley, founder of Linley & Simpson, appears in the first episode of a new podcast series for estate and letting agency owners, where he discusses equity funding, Linley & Simpson’s merger with Lomond, the current state of the market, and what makes a successful agency acquisition from both sides of the table.
The Boom podcast, launched and hosted by Lucy Noonan, founder of Atomic Consultancy, explores the realities of buying and selling estate agency businesses. Each episode features conversations with agency owners and industry specialists who have first-hand experience of mergers, acquisitions, and scaling within the property sector.
Future guests include Kye Wheatley, former owner of Keatons, who shares his experience of selling his business and adjusting to life after the deal.
Noonan said the series aims to offer “real conversations with real people,” giving agency owners an honest look at what happens behind the scenes of a sale – the challenges, successes, and lessons learned.
She added: “Boom was created to help agency owners feel more informed and prepared. It’s a space to learn from those who’ve been through the process and can share what really works.”
The Boom podcast is available on YouTube, Spotify, and social media platforms.
