Independent estate agency expands with opening of new branch

Wilfords London has announced the launch of a new office in Abbeville Village, SW4 — a neighbourhood typically popular with Londoners looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the capital for a more leafy, village-like setting

The new Abbeville Village office marks Wilfords’ third location, complimenting its flagship office in Kensington and its branch on Northcote Road, also in south London.

Wilfords says it is committed to growing organically in markets where it already has a strong track record and a deep understanding of local dynamics. The company will be opening a fourth location in Barnes later this year.

Phil Agius, Head of the new Abbeville Village office, commented: “We’ve been successfully selling into Abbeville Village from our Northcote Road office for some time now — but the local response has been so strong that opening a dedicated space here became a natural next step. The truth is, there’s no substitute for being on the high street. It shows commitment, builds trust, and makes us part of the daily life of the community. That’s what Wilfords is about — service that’s grounded in relationships and delivered with care.”

The office also restores something that has gradually disappeared from the local high street: truly independent agency, according t0 Geoff Wilford, Founder of Wilfords London,

He explained: “Abbeville Village used to be a hub of independent estate agencies. But over the past few years, all have been bought up by larger corporate groups. That shift might not be visible at first glance, but it’s changed the nature of the service people receive. We’ve opened this office to bring something back — a team that’s experienced, personal and genuinely embedded in the local market.”
