An eXp UK estate agent has launched her first high street office in the York suburb of Heworth – a milestone moment for both her business and the eXp network.

Price Independent Estate Agents, led by founder Holly Price, becomes one of only a select few eXp agencies in the UK to establish a physical branch on the high street.

Price began her journey with eXp in 2022, just three months after welcoming her first child. Since then, the business has gone from strength to strength. By her second year, she had brought on her first employee — and today, her team has grown to four, alongside three additional independent estate agents operating within the eXp model.

Originally trading as Holly Price Powered by eXp, the business rebranded to Price Independent Estate Agents a year ago. This month, the team marked their first anniversary under the new name by opening their dedicated office space in Heworth.

The shop not only strengthens the agency’s presence in the local market but also reflects Holly’s long-term commitment to combining the flexibility of the eXp platform with the traditional benefits of a local high street presence.

Price said: “It feels surreal. On our opening day, we had non-stop visitors welcoming us into the area, potential home movers, clients past and present and friends of the business popping in to see our new space.

“We want to support Heworth and for it to be a hub for the community, where people can come and ask us advice about buying their first home, selling their house or the property market.”

Hybrid estate agency eXp UK recently announced that it has now signed up more than 800 estate agents.

Launched in November 2019, the digitally-focused platform initially signed up 50 agents but now has over agents on board, as more agents seek self-employment with a view to managing their own business.

The latest announcement comes just over a year since eXp UK launched its brokerage model – designed to convert existing branch-based estate agency businesses to the use of self-employed fee-earners – along with its own buyer representation programme.

This latest achievement cements eXp UK as the largest self-employed estate agency platform in the UK, according to Adam Day.
