Franchise chain Belvoir has revealed that one of its offices has broken new records after the business which started out as a lettings specialist diversified into sales.
Belvoir Peterborough has become the first office in the network to achieve £1m in annual turnover, and on one record-breaking day last month agreed £1m of property sales.
Terry Lucking, owner of the office, said: “June was an excellent month for our sales team.
“I always say that the most important asset of any business is the team of people that works there and I am extremely fortunate to have some great people working at Belvoir Peterborough and Belvoir Cambridge.
“They are all very motivated and driven and managed brilliantly by Emma Falco.
“I can confirm that the Peterborough office achieved £1m in turnover last year and this was mainly because of sales, which we added to our portfolio of services in 2013.
“I am absolutely delighted that the sales team is doing so well, and that they have achieved so much in such a short time.
“However, every time the bar is raised we look at ways that we can raise it higher,”
Falco said: “During June we completed on 20 properties and instructed 29 sales to solicitors.
“On one memorable day we agreed £1m worth of property sales for a single client, which was a record for them too.”
Lucking launched Belvoir Peterborough as a cold start 16 years ago, and since then has gone on to win numerous awards.
Without a word of a lie, I looked at the precis before opening the story and thought, ‘Peterborough!.. Terry? Terry Lucking!
This is absolutly no surprise; for as long as I can remember Belvoir Peterborough have been a very good agent. Well done Mr. Lucking.

He’s got this all wrong, its not the people in the team, he needs to disrupt, evolve and change this outdated model or die, the consumer doesn’t want this expensive high street model with expensive cars, local knowledge and experience they want to pay a very small amount of money and be on rightmove and that’s all………..ITS ALL GOIN’ ON LINE INIT!!
