OnTheMarket ‘marks another significant milestone’ in property portal war

OnTheMarket, backed by CoStar Group following its recent acquisition, continues to challenge Rightmove and Zoopla as the three platforms jostle for position in the market.

Following the recent signings of major estate agency brands, including the likes of Leaders Romans Group, Edward Mellor and Rettie, who have begun advertising their properties with OnTheMarket, the portal says that it has now surpassed 15,000 advertisers for the first time in its history.

The milestone comes just weeks after the OnTheMarket provided its first performance update following the acquisition. In particular, unique monthly visitors rose 81% year-on-year, and the number of agent offices increased by 10% since the CoStar acquisition, based on data provided by Google Analytics.

Jason Tebb, president of OnTheMarket, said: “Surpassing 15,000 advertisers marks another significant milestone in our journey to becoming the number one, agent-friendly residential property portal in the UK. I’m proud to have each of our advertisers on board and their support is a strong endorsement of the direction the business is going.

“We are committed to continuing to provide the service and platform our agent and developer customers value at fair and sustainable prices. With the backing, expertise, and resources of CoStar Group, we believe we are well-placed to change the UK portal landscape.”
