New director at Cooper and Tanner
Cooper and Tanner has promoted John Phillips from associate director to a director of the firm.
The company says Phillips and his fellow directors have plans to focus on and continue the growth of the department and a strategy is currently in place to roll lettings out into additional residential sales offices within the very near future.
Cooper and Tanner have 11 sales offices covering Somerset and Wiltshire and are also livestock, machinery, antique, gold and silver and property auctioneers. They provide extensive coverage for property sales and lettings, and they also have bespoke development and commercial departments to complement their wider range of agricultural and property professionals.
Andrew Colyer, head of residential sales and lettings at the company, said: “John’s background in both residential sales and lettings enables him to bring a wealth of experience to the management team and he has been pivotal in the growth and success of the residential lettings department over the last seven years.
“The department under his guidance has grown from a single branch to six branches including Warminster, Frome, Castle Cary, Shepton Mallet, Cheddar and Bridgwater.”
Daniel Taylor joins as partner at Harding Green
Former Savills and Chestertons director, Daniel Taylor, is the latest prime London estate agent to join Harding Green, following a 17-year career in the corporate world.
Taylor, who most recently ran the Savills Notting Hill branch as head of office, primarily focused on residential sales and acquisitions of over £3m. Prior to this, he worked for Chestertons as director and head of residential sales in Kensington & Holland Park for almost a decade.
At Harding Green, Taylor will concentrate on buying and selling £2m-plus homes across the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea with plans to launch a dedicated Prime Central London team in the near future.
Taylor commented, “The property industry is evolving, shifting towards a model enabling brokers to build closer relationships with clients. This is one of the main attractions for me at Harding Green. In addition, the business provides me with the support to operate across London and is structured to allow me to build a team without the expensive overheads of a high street agency. Godwin bolsters development team with residential hire
Property developer Godwin Developments has appointed prominent residential figure Simon Boreham to the position of Senior Development Director to further expand the company’s value-added residential pipeline.
Based out of Godwin’s London Mayfair office, his mandate will be centered on securing residentially led development opportunities nationwide, with a particular focus on the South East. Leveraging his deal origination, partnerships and planning expertise, Simon’s key responsibilities will be growing the business’ pipeline across a range of residential asset classes. In his new role, he will be working closely with Godwin’s wider strategic land, planning and delivery teams.
With more than two decades of experience in property development, Simon has a proven and in-depth knowledge of the sector, having held previous positions at the Berkeley Group, Wilmott Dixon Developments and CALA Group. Prior to joining Godwin, he worked as Land and Planning Director at Countryside Partnerships.
Simon’s appointment further strengthens Godwin’s residential capabilities and will add to the business’ in-house BTR expertise, led by Lesley Roberts. His arrival will also allow Tom Smallbone to concentrate entirely on shaping its forthcoming BTR platform as Acquisitions Director.
