How can agents win more instructions?

A webinar to be hosted by Goodlord today will explore how agents can attract and win new landlords for their business.

At 10am this morning, Megan Eighteen, director at Location, Location, and Darren Owen, sales manager at Infinite Property, will join Goodlord CEO, William Reeve, for the session, which has been designed to offer agents practical advice and guidance on how they can address landlord supply issues and find opportunities in challenging times.

The recent Goodlord & Vouch State of the Industry 2023 survey revealed that 58% of agents saw a reduction in the number of available properties over the last year, with 36% of agents believing a “significant amount” of landlords will leave the sector in the next 12 months.

The webinar will cover the critical questions of why landlords are selling up and how agents can reassure those considering leaving the market.

The discussion will also explore how they can convince landlords to move from let-only to fully managed and capture new landlords that haven’t used a letting agent before. In addition, the panel will discuss the rise of short-term lets and the challenges and opportunities they present.

Reeve commented: “Agents are under a lot of pressure from multiple avenues right now. And one of the key concerns for many is the so-called landlord exodus. There’s never been a more acute need to attract, retain, and add value to landlords and this webinar has been designed to provide the practical suggestions and guidance agents need to do just that. We hope it reveals the gaps between perception and reality and serves as a straightforward guide in what can feel like complicated times.”
