New estate agency launches

A new estate agency is set to open in Oswestry Town centre.

Daniel James Residential, which will initially focus primarily on sales market, is set to open in the coming days.

The owner, Daniel James, has worked in the estate agency sector for more than 18 years and clearly felt that now was the right time to set-up his own business.

James said: “I moved here during lockdown as my wife is from here, and I knew no one.

“So, for a while I was a freelance agent here and there, and advertised a lot on social media to get some traction, with referrels and good reviews.

“Then I was presented with the opportunity to buy this place.”

The owner of the new estate agency added that he was selective with the location, before settling for the office on Albion Hill.

He said: “This is such a prominent position, and it gets so much footfall with the market” he said.

“It’s all going to be a lot more personal, from the moment a buyer or a sell will walk in they will only have to deal with one person in the office.”

James is open to the idea of expanding, and said to be eyeing potential locations in North Shropshire, such as Whitchurch and Shrewsbury.

He added: “We want to have a network in the area – I like training agents so we might even look into doing that.

“But for this office we want to give it more of a lounge feel, and we’ve got a coffee bar which I love.”

  1. If Carlsberg made Estate Agents…

Good luck fella, you may need a good mark up on the coffee in this market, but fingers crossed for you!
