eXp UK has been named as the fastest growing brand when it comes to new instructions and number of listings marked as sold subject to contract (SSTC).
The data provided by TwentyEA, part of the TwentyCI Group, has revealed which of the nation’s estate agents rank within the top 50 in terms of growth with respect to both new listings and homes sold subject to contract when comparing the first quarter of 2023 with the same period last year.
The figures, which TwentyCI Group has not authorised to be published for commercial purposes (paid for service), reveal that eXp UK ranks top for new instructions, having listed 99% more new homes for sale across the nation during the first quarter of this year when compared to the same period in 2022. Just Foxtons comes close in this respect, having listed 48% more homes.
At the same time, eXp UK has also seen a 45% increase in the number of homes being listed as sold subject to contract during the first three months of this year versus the same period last year. Just one other agent has seen positive movement in this respect, with Foxtons again seeing a marginal increase of 2%.
eXp UK’s performance across both metrics has helped to cement it as one of the nation’s largest estate agencies, with the brand now the 11th biggest name within the sector, according to the marketing data.
The Head of eXp UK, Adam Day, commented: “Our network of outstanding agents has worked tirelessly to help drive our growth ambitions within the UK market and it’s great to see the fruits of their labour now starting to show, as we lead the way both in terms of new business won and the conversion from listing to sold subject to contract.
“This is no mean feat given our relative infancy as a UK entity compared to many of the other long established names within the sector and demonstrates the pedigree of the people we employ, all of whom benefit from the flexibility and financial freedom that the self employed model provides.
“We’re only just getting started and while we’re over the moon with our latest growth and our position as the UK’s eleventh largest agency, we won’t be content until we sit atop of the table as the UK’s largest estate agency brand.”
EXP mentions the established players in the industry but there is a major difference. Most of the established players have built their businesses steadily and with firm foundations.
The fastest growers and the firms with the biggest egos seem to be their own worst enemy.
We have seen time and time again what happens to challengers and disturbers. Many of these firms have been like fireworks on bonfire night, burning brightly for a short period and then down they come with a whimper.

From the outside looking in I see why you would say this, I do.
But just take a moment to reflect on the fact that unlike so many models this is organic growth with ZERO central marketing spend.
Despite the sometimes overly confident sometimes arrogant posts your see on LinkedIn (I’m guilty as charged here) behind the scenes all we talk about it is how to improve our model for agents.
Trust me it’s been relentless

Under this umbrella, good estate who have experience and are recognised within the patch they operate will do well; look at Adam Halliwell in Cheltenham, over 25 years experience on the patch. Those without the experience and knowledge will struggle.
