eXp UK, which operates a self-employed agent business model, has revealed the latest recipients of its recently introduced ICON Awards programme, which recognises agents who achieve certain production goals and represent a good cultural and community fit for the estate agency.

ICON is an accolade earned by individual eXp agents once they ‘cap’ and whom then also transact a further 40 completions over and above their cap level*. It can also be achieved by banking £400,000 in gross fee commission in a 12 month period.

The reward for reaching ICON status each year is £16,000 in eXp share stock, granted free of cost to the agent.

In November Adam Day, international expansion leader for eXp in the UK, announced the company’s first three UK ICON agents – Claire Bilton, Aaron Tonks and Kirsty Hodgson.

Chris Abraham was recently awarded Agent of the Year at eXp’s annual awards ceremony.
Mark Buchanan was recognised at a 6,000 strong gathering of international eXp agents in Las Vegas in October, named as achieving the most transactions globally.

Meanwhile, Samantha Cerrone achieved her ICON status despite giving birth in 2022.
Cerrone said: “It was a busy year for me to say the least. I managed to hit a huge career goal by completing on over 75 transactions and all whilst having my first baby and taking time out too.

“I’m so well supported by family and by the eXp team and being self-employed it meant that I didn’t have to ask for time off, I just took it and still managed to earn fantastically at the same time. 2022 was a fabulous year for me in more ways than one.”

Abraham commented: “It’s a privilege to be awarded ICON status and for the award to be backed up by a financial incentive too. Being an independent agent isn’t all about the money but let’s be honest, it’s a big motivator for most of us in this industry.”

Buchanan added: “Winning the ICON award is a fantastic achievement for me personally in addition to achieving a volume of sales worthy of mention on the eXp global stage. To be up there with the best in eXp is quite the unreal feeling but shows how much effort we’ve all put into growing our businesses. It also comes with a great bonus too.

“Joining eXp has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made and it’s totally transformed not only my life but my family’s too. It’s allowed me to work alongside my wife and my eldest son, to become debt free, and we’ve just bought our dream home”.
