Savills has announced its biggest November auction catalogue for five years with more than 200 lots offered for sale.
Two sales will be held in quick succession this month, with two dates on 8 and 24 November.
The catalogue includes residential and development opportunities across London and the country together with a large section of commercial properties.
Robin Howeson, head of auctions at Savills at Savills said: “As we move towards the end of the year, our upcoming 8 November auction has shaped up to have a bumper catalogue with over 200 lots. The well-balanced catalogue has residential and commercial opportunities galore, from a 15th century country house in Kent to a substantial freehold opportunity in Reading town centre.”
“We are still accepting instructions for our remaining auctions of the year on 24 November and 14 December, both sales are showing encouraging early signs from buyers and sellers who are keen to transact quickly,” he added.
Savills’ most recent auction, held on 4 October, saw more than £36m raised with 99 lots sold and a success rate of 80% – bringing the total value of property sold in 2022 to £360m.
The first sale after the infamous ‘mini budget’ featured a mix of residential, development and commercial lots from across the UK and strong competitive bidding. The total raised was 10% up on Savills auction in October 2021 and puts the year-to-date sale proceeds over 30% up on the same period in 2021.
Howeson added: “Our last auction in October exceeded our expectations, with over £36m raised and a success rate of 80%, demonstrating the resilience of the auctions market despite the backdrop of economic uncertainty.”
