The staff of two estate agents in Winchester slept out in aid of a homeless charity – raising £3,000 between them.
Goadsby’s and Belgarum both fielded teams of seven and raised almost equal amounts, with Belgarum achieving £1,615 (to be topped up by 10%, by Agents Giving) against Goadsby’s £1,530.
The sleep-out, in aid of Trinity Winchester, was in the grounds of Winchester Cathedral and was an uncomfortable and soggy affair, amid wind and rain.
Belgarum also sponsored the sleep-out, giving Trinity £1,500 to help cover set-up costs.
The two teams of rough sleepers both got together over breakfast at McDonalds at 6.30am the following day before presumably going back to their respective offices to resume normal rivalries.
Anyway, we take our hats off to them.
